A Place to Start

by sellingdavephillips on July 22nd, 2011

After 24 years of selling, talking about selling, learning about selling from others and some trial and error, I feel like I might have a few thoughts that would spark a few synapses in others.  I find that growth comes from, not what you already know, but from the questions that you have.  Anyone that is honest and not completely self-absorbed would admit to having far more questions than answers at any given time.  However, admitting this to others, is not always the easiest thing to do.

So it starts here.  I’ll park my ego and hopefully some of you will do the same and reply.  I want to share some of the questions, misconceptions and obstacles that I have faced, along with some things that I’ve observed in myself and others that have helped me to find some answers and comfort.  Once in a while, we get one of those “ah-ha” moments that teach us about the things that keep us from succeeding, the psychologies that lead to the behaviors of others and ourselves or a completely different way to see and solve problems.

So every post I make will start with a question.  I invite replies, but be nice.  As they say, “Watch this space”.
